Randall’s & Wards Island

Randall’s and Wards Island Master Plan, Queens, New York is a 100 million dollar multi-year development plan for regional sports and recreation facilities under and around the RFK Bridge.  The proposed facilities include softball, baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, track and field center, ferry marina, waterpark, picnic areas, pedestrian boardwalk and bike paths with pedestrian and bicycle connections to Manhattan via the 103rd street Bridge and a link to the South Bronx Greenway system.

The master plan was generated by the prestigious landscape architecture firm of M. Paul Friedberg & Partners (MPFP, LLC). Michael Rosano, ASLA coordinated all aspects of the design project while he was under their employ.  He saw the project through from schematics to construction documents and was the liaison for all the participating allied professionals working together on the project.
