Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn, New York is a 4.8 acre park located on Brooklyn's waterfront under the Brooklyn Bridge and across from the southern tip of Manhattan.  This small gem of a park offers breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and has opportunities for both passive and active recreation.

Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the water, a picnic in the grass or watching their children on the playground.  The waterfront theme is evident throughout as the children’s climbing equipment is embellished with decorative sails and the sandbox is shaped like a boat.

The following project is from Michael’s tenure with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation as Assistant Landscape Architect/Borough Supervisor. His on site project management responsibilities included coordination of all contractors, over sight for proper construction installation methods, tree preservation, monitoring all transplanting of specimen trees and inspection and tagging of all plant material to be used on the projects & supervision and implementation of design changes in the field.
