MICHAEL ROSANO, ASLA

Michael Rosano, ASLA has over 18 years of professional experience in high end residential design/ build, commercial, urban & municipal design. His experience also includes business development, client coordination, marketing, conceptual program development, construction documentation, bidding, project management, and construction administration & design staff management.

 

He has won multiple awards for excellence in design and construction and his work has been published in numerous publications. Michael is often a guest lecturer and design critique judge for students in the Urban Horticulture & Design program at Farmingdale State College.

Michael holds degrees from two of the leading collegiate study programs in the field of Landscape Architecture. One is an Associate of Applied Science in Ornamental Horticulture/Landscape Development from SUNY Farmingdale and the other a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia.

His professional experience includes Brooklyn Borough supervisor with the Landscape Construction division for the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, where he oversaw construction on numerous projects throughout the borough. Such high profile projects include Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Michael also held a design position with the world renowned design firm of MPFP, LLC (M. Paul Friedberg & Partners, Manhattan office) where he was the Project Architect for the Randall’s-Ward Island Master Plan, a multimillion dollar park renovation.

Michael is a long standing member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and served on the Board of Directors for LINLA (Long Island Nursery & Landscape Association) from 2015-2019. He also currently serves on the Landscape Awards Committee were he is the co-chair and helps facilitate the annual LINLA design & build competition where companies across Long Island submit their design entries showcasing outstanding examples of landscape design and construction.
